Measuring Guide
Getting the width and height right is the single most important step in ordering made-to-measure curtains. Use a steel tape measure, not a fabric one, and measure twice.
Width
Measure the full length of the track or pole you want covered, end to end. If you want the curtains to extend past the window for more light coverage when open (recommended), measure the pole including its extensions beyond the window frame, not just the window itself.
Height / drop
Measure from the top of the track, or from the rings if using a pole with rings, straight down to where you want the curtain to end. Common finishing points are the window sill, just below the sill, or the floor. For a floor-length look, stop about 1-2cm above the floor so the curtain does not drag.
A few tips
- Measure at the actual mounting height, not the window opening itself, since track and pole positions vary.
- If your wall or window is not perfectly level, measure in two or three places and use the largest number.
- Enter your measurements in centimeters in the configurator - width and height/drop are the first two fields.
