Fabric Care Guide

General care guidance to keep your curtains looking their best. Always check the specific care label on your order, as recommendations can vary by fabric.

Linen

Linen softens beautifully with wear but wrinkles easily. Spot clean when possible; if washing, use a gentle cold cycle and reshape while damp. A cool iron or steamer on the reverse side works well - avoid high heat, which can scorch natural fibers.

Cotton

Generally the most forgiving fabric to care for. Machine washable on a gentle cold or warm cycle for most weights; tumble dry low or line dry to avoid shrinkage. Iron on a cotton setting while slightly damp for a crisp finish.

Sheers

Handle gently - sheer weaves can snag. Cold hand wash or a delicate machine cycle in a mesh bag is safest. Hang to dry; sheers rarely need ironing if hung while still damp.

Velvet

Avoid washing at home. Steam rather than iron to lift the pile, and vacuum lightly with a brush attachment to remove dust. Professional dry cleaning is recommended for stains.

General tips

• Direct, constant sun exposure will fade any fabric over time - lined curtains and rotating which panel faces the brightest window can slow this down.
• Vacuum or shake out curtains periodically between washes to prevent dust buildup.
• Always test a hidden corner before spot-cleaning with any product.
